Parent-Tot Program

The Parent-Tot program is for children under 2 years old. This class helps to establish comfort in the water and is a great bonding time for parents and their children. Our technique is taught using songs and games that introduce what the child will be learning later in private lessons. Learn more

PT Evaluation Class

This class is for all new families coming into the Parent-Tot program. The instructor will focus on explaining the structure that we use to teach infants and why we do each song/drill/game. This class will give parents an idea of how their young one reacts to being in the water as well as providing an opportunity for them to try a few of the skills that we use in our PT classes.

How do I Enroll?

We begin our class registration process for all new swimmers with a FREE TRIAL CLASS. The purpose of the trial lesson is to introduce the family to the academy and assess the swimmer's comfort level in the water. A swim instructor will identify the appropriate level for the swimmer as well as if they should take private or group swim classes.

Even if your child has never been in a pool and is a beginner, the trial swim class is a great introduction to our school and a chance for your child to feel out their new environment. After the free trial, our team will help you find an ongoing schedule that best fits your needs.

Training Method

Swimright Academy uses a patented training program known as the SwimRight® Method. This method builds the foundation of swim-swim-swim technique, promoting gradual gains in confidence while prioritizing safety in and around the water. The SwimRight® Method is based on four principles:

  • Body Position: This is the key to swimming efficiently and effectively, as it reduces drag and increases propulsion. The SwimRight® Method teaches you how to maintain a horizontal and streamlined body position in the water, using your core muscles and balance.
  • Breath Control: This is the key to swimming comfortably and continuously, as it regulates your oxygen intake and carbon dioxide output. The SwimRight® Method teaches you how to breathe properly in the water, using your nose and mouth, and timing your breaths with your strokes.
  • Kicking: This is the key to swimming powerfully and stably, as it provides thrust and support. The SwimRight® Method teaches you how to kick correctly in the water, using your legs and feet, and coordinating your kicks with your arms.
  • Stroking: This is the key to swimming gracefully and skillfully, as it propels you forward and steers you in the right direction. The SwimRight® Method teaches you how to stroke smoothly in the water, using your arms and hands, and mastering the four competitive strokes: freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly.

Our classes are taught by certified, caring instructors who are present in the water with students at all times. Our instructors are trained and experienced in the SwimRight® Method, and they use a variety of tools and techniques to make the lessons fun and effective. Our instructors are also friendly and supportive, and they create a positive and respectful learning environment for everyone.

Our lessons are suitable for children aged 3 months and older. Our program is designed to help each child navigate the swimming journey with competence and warmth, from the beginning stages of learning to swim through mastery of all four competitive strokes.
