How Do I Enroll My Child from Sawtelle?
You’re so close that the hardest part will be choosing which day of the week works best. Here’s how to start.
Step 1 – Book a free trial class
Every new swimmer begins with a free 20–30 minute trial at our West LA pool. It’s the only way to experience our instructors, our warm water, and our method — no strings attached.
Step 2 – Drive 10 minutes (seriously, time it)
From Stoner Park or the Sawtelle Blvd strip, it’s genuinely a short drive. Try it during the time you’d actually come for lessons — you’ll likely arrive early.
Step 3 – Get your child’s level assessed
Our instructor will evaluate comfort level in the water and recommend the perfect class: private, group, Parent-Tot, stroke development, or pre-team.
Step 4 – Pick a schedule that works for Sawtelle life
We offer lessons from 9 AM to 8 PM weekdays, and 8 AM to 4 PM weekends. Many Sawtelle families choose:
Saturday or Sunday mornings (before the brunch crowd hits Sawtelle Blvd)
Weekday late afternoons (after school at Westwood Charter or Stoner Park)
Tuesday/Thursday evenings (light traffic on Olympic)
Step 5 – Watch your child thrive
Once enrolled, you’ll settle into a weekly rhythm. And because you’re so close, you’ll never feel like swim lessons are a “production.”

Places We Serve – Sawtelle & the Westside
Sawtelle is one of those neighborhoods that feels both central and distinct. You have the bustle of Sawtelle Blvd, the quiet streets south of Olympic, and easy access to Westwood, Santa Monica, and — yes — our West LA pool.
We regularly welcome families from:
– Sawtelle Japantown (around Olympic & Sawtelle Blvd)
– Stoner Park area
– North Sawtelle (near Santa Monica Blvd)
– South Sawtelle (south of Olympic, closer to Pico)
– The area near Westwood Charter Elementary
– Adjacent parts of West LA (the border is blurry, and that’s fine)
Not sure if you’re “Sawtelle enough”? Call us at (323) 525-0323. Chances are, you’re 8–12 minutes from our door depending on traffic lights.
