When a parent or student account is deleted, personal contact information, including the email address and phone number, is removed or anonymized. The user's name and certain historical activity may be retained where necessary to preserve historical activity, school records, and reporting.
When personal information is no longer required for these purposes, it may be deleted or anonymized in accordance with our data retention procedures.
Data Deletion
Parents and students can request deletion of their accounts using the account deletion functionality available in the Swimstr application. Upon deletion, personal contact information, including the email address and phone number, is removed or anonymized. The user's name and certain historical activity may be retained where necessary to preserve school records and reporting.
Instructor accounts are created and managed by participating schools and cannot be created by instructors through the Swimstr Instructor application. Instructors may request deletion of their personal information by contacting us at info@swimrightacademy.com. The request should include the email address associated with the instructor account so that we can verify and process the request.
Upon a verified deletion request, the instructor's personal information will be deleted or anonymized as appropriate. Certain historical records may be retained where necessary for legitimate administrative, reporting, security, accounting, or legal purposes. Where appropriate, retained records will be anonymized so that they are no longer associated with the instructor's personal identity.
Security
We value your trust in providing us your Personal Information, thus we are striving to use commercially acceptable means of protecting it. But remember that no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and reliable, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
