SwimRight Academy was founded in 2005 by the 4-Time Olympic gold medalist Lenny Krayzelburg. Since its inception, we have taught more than 40,000 people how to be water-safe and water-confident.
Whether you are a swim instructor, customer service representative or member of management, by joining this team and sharing the love and knowledge of water safety, you are making a positive impact on your community and helping save lives each day.
SwimRight Academy prides itself on excellence in and out of the water. To teach excellence, we must be excellent and throughout this presentation, we will highlight our expectations of you as a member of our team and representative of our name.
After winning gold in the 2000 and 2004 Olympic Games, Lenny was inspired to make a difference in children's lives and recognized the need for a top-notch learn to swim program. Following his retirement in 2005, Lenny started the "Lenny Krayzelburg Swim Academy" in Los Angeles and in 2018, it was rebranded as "SwimRight Academy".
With locations and partners in Miami, Brooklyn, Boston, and Dallas, SwimRight Academy continues to be a symbol of Lenny's unwavering commitment to teach children to swim the RIGHT way, providing them with the guidance, love, and care they need.
At SwimRight Academy, a Commitment to Excellence is more than a motto. It's a guiding philosophy that shapes every interaction and decision, both in and out of the water. Learn More

As part of our commitment to excellence, our reward system is thoughtfully designed to celebrate every achievement and keep children motivated throughout their swim journey. Students earn stickers for mastering individual skills, receive ribbons upon graduating each level, and are awarded a gold medal upon completing the full program. Each level is also represented by a unique colored swim cap, providing a visible symbol of progress.
Accurate tracking of each student’s development by their instructor is non-negotiable. Given the importance of our reward-based curriculum in our program, it is essential that instructors consistently and diligently track all skills and progress for each of their students. Advancing to a new cap not only marks growth but also inspires continued effort and excitement for reaching the next milestone.
We teach the importance of perseverance, patience, and consistent effort. Whether it's overcoming fears like putting their face in the water or mastering new skills, students learn that progress takes time, focus, and a willingness to keep trying, even when it’s challenging. These experiences help build lasting confidence and mental strength, both in and out of the water.
We believe in empowering individuals by helping them trust in their own abilities. As students achieve goals and overcome challenges, they build resilience and develop a strong sense of self. Every success, big or small, reinforces their confidence, fostering a positive self-image both in and out of the water.
Our program promotes essential life skills such as cooperation, respect, and self-regulation. In group lessons, students learn to work as a team, support one another, and follow instructions, all of which are critical for both safety and personal growth. These experiences help children develop empathy, build healthy relationships, and strengthen their emotional resilience.
